ABOUT ANGELA AND CATHERINE

About Angela

Professional Qualifications
I am an acupuncturist and shiatsu practitioner in Worcester. I have a BA (Hons) degree from the College of Traditional Acupuncture near Warwick and a Diploma in Shiatsu from the European Shiatsu School, based in Marlborough, Wiltshire.

Personal Approach
I have a holistic approach to health and well being and provide treatments to a broad spectrum of people, from children to the elderly.

I have donated my time and skills as a therapist to an holistic mental health group and a disabled and carers group. I am currently working at a local hospice in Worcester.

I feel it is important to keep my skills up to date and attend post-graduate courses regularly. I am a member of both the British Acupuncture Council and the Shiatsu Society.

Areas of Specialism
I have a special interest in women's health including fertility and pregnancy, as well as treating small children.

I practise Shonishin which is a specially adapted form of acupuncture developed in Japan over 250 years ago. It focuses on gentle, specialised non-invasive techniques usually without needles and is ideal for the treatment of babies and small children.

I am the Worcestershire group co-ordinator for the British Acupuncture Council and regularly attend meetings and courses to widen my skills and update my knowledge.

Areas of Specialism
Due to my previous training in Psychology I have a great interest in treating psycho-emotional problems with acupuncture. I treat a lot of men and women of all ages for depression, stress and anxiety and have very successful results.

I also like Angela have a specific interest in fertility and pregnancy.

"I have seen Catherine for my migraines and back pain for several months. After only several treatments my migraines have decreased and I have now only had one migraine in the last month. I have also noticed since having acupuncture that I now sleep better and I am no longer tired all the time."
